I know some phrasal verbs, but they're so easy to confuse!

Phrasal verbs are very important in English. Native speakers use them many times in every conversation, and it's hard to understand English if you don't know them well.

But they can be tricky! They are often very similiar to each other and they have very specific meanings.

I think there are two problems with phrasal verbs in English

1: It's hard to know when to use phrasal verbs. Their meanings are very specific and we often use each one in only one or two situations.

2: It's hard to remember the meanings, and they often get confused. Was it 'get by' or 'get through'? It's easy to forget.

In this challenge, we're going to fix both problems

1: I've chosen 150 modern, useful phrasal verbs for you, and I'll explain clearly how to use each one.

2: I'll teach you scientific methods to help you remember the phrasal verbs, even if you think you have a bad memory. And you'll get all the materials that you need to memorise them inside the challenge.

At the end of the challenge, you'll be able to use these phrasal verbs without thinking.

They'll just appear in your head when you're speaking or writing.

Hi, I'm Seonaid!

I'm a British native speaker of English. I have a Master's degree (MPhil) from Cambridge University in English and Linguistics and I've been teaching English to non-native speakers for many years.

I love teaching and I love thinking about language. I like studying languages too - my best one is French (my level is close to advanced) but I also speak some Spanish, Japanese and German.

How can I remember phrasal verbs?

Reviews are the answer!

If we don't review, we forget 90% of everything we study after only a few days. Even one review can improve our memories a lot, and after a few reviews, we can remember almost everything.

Reviews make things automatic

Even when you understand something, if you don’t practise enough, you can’t use it automatically. When we review enough, we get that wonderful feeling of opening our mouths and a correct sentence just coming out without thinking.

Reviews don't take long

We use the most efficient methods! And actually, it's important to leave some time between your reviews for the best results. Reviews only take a few minutes a day.

Everything is ready for you inside the challenge

If you want to make your own reviews and flashcards, it's a lot of work. I've prepared everything for you, so it's as easy as possible.
